Volt Fusion Energy

Volt Fusion Energy
Used to fuse Kyurem and Zekrom into Black Kyurem. It can be found when defeating Black Kyurem in raids.
Category
Energy
Volt Fusion Energy is used to fuse
Kyurem with
Zekrom to create
Black Kyurem. Its counterpart,
Blaze Fusion Energy, fuses Kyurem with Reshiram to create White Kyurem.
Each fusion costs 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Volt Fusion Energy does not take up space in your item bag.
How to Get Volt Fusion Energy
Defeat Black Kyurem in raids to earn Volt Fusion Energy. Black Kyurem and the Energy debuted at Pokémon GO Tour: Unova in March 2025, and the raids have returned during later events such as Kyurem Fusion Raid Day in January 2026.
What Black Kyurem Learns
If the Kyurem you fuse knows
Glaciate, Glaciate becomes Freeze Shock, an Ice-type Charged move that only Black Kyurem can use. Black Kyurem can also learn the Electric-type Charged move
Fusion Bolt.
Separating Black Kyurem
Black Kyurem stays fused until you choose to separate it, and separating returns both Kyurem and Zekrom at no cost. Fusing them again costs the full amount of Energy and Candy again.
Note: Shadow and Purified Pokémon can't be used in a fusion, and Black Kyurem can't be traded or transferred to Pokémon HOME.
