A Pokémon GO item in the Lures category.
Magnetic Lure Module
An electronic Lure Module that attracts Pokémon for 30 minutes, especially ones that possess a magnetic field. It can also cause some Pokémon to evolve.
Category
Lures
The Magnetic Lure Module is a special Lure in Pokémon GO that attracts wild Pokémon to a PokéStop for 30 minutes, the same as a regular
Lure Module. It favors Pokémon drawn to magnetic fields, especially Electric-, Steel-, and Rock-type Pokémon.
It triggers more evolutions than any other Lure. While you're near a PokéStop with an active Magnetic Lure Module, you can evolve:
Magneton
Magnezone
Nosepass
Probopass
Charjabug
Vikavolt
Purified Pokémon cost less Candy: 90 for Magnezone and Vikavolt, and 45 for Probopass.
How to Get Magnetic Lure Modules
Magnetic Lure Modules are not part of the permanent shop stock, so most trainers get them from events.
- Special Research and Timed Research rewards
- Event pass reward tracks
- Limited-time bundles in the shop
- Top finishes in PokéStop Showcases
How to Use a Magnetic Lure Module
- Spin or tap a PokéStop to open it.
- Tap the empty Lure slot above the PokéStop's photo disc.
- Choose the Magnetic Lure Module and confirm.
Only one Lure can be active on a PokéStop at a time, and everyone nearby benefits from it. To evolve, stand within reach of the lured PokéStop, open the Pokémon, and tap Evolve. The Lure doesn't have to be yours, so a single Magnetic Lure can cover all three evolutions if you have the Candy ready.
