Terms and Conditions

1. Who we are

Dittobase ("Dittobase", "we", "us") can be reached at support@dittobase.com.

Dittobase is an independent fan-made website. It is not associated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Game Freak, Niantic, or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of Nintendo.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or using the site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Dittobase.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to subscribe to a paid plan.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else is using it.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription immediately and permanently removes your data, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Free plan and paid plans

Dittobase is free to use. Paid plans (currently Supporter, Trainer, and Gym Leader) raise limits, unlock additional features, and support the site. The features and limits for each plan are listed on the Pricing page and may change over time. Some perks marked "Soon" on the Pricing page are still in development; we will tell you when they are available.

If you downgrade or your paid plan ends, anything you created beyond the limits of your new plan stays saved but may become read-only until you are within the new limits again or upgrade.

5. Billing and automatic renewal

Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, either monthly or yearly, depending on the option you choose at checkout. Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply where you live.

Your subscription renews automatically. At the end of each billing period we charge the payment method on file for the next period, at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. For yearly plans we send a reminder email before the renewal charge.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. By subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for the recurring subscription fee and any applicable taxes.

6. Changing plans

You can upgrade or downgrade from Settings at any time.

Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period, and the new price applies from the next period.
Downgrades take effect immediately. The unused portion of what you paid for the current period is applied as a credit toward future bills.

Switching between monthly and yearly billing starts a new billing period on the day of the switch.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel from Settings at any time, with no fees and no phone calls. When you cancel, you keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then moves to the Free plan. You can resume before the period ends and nothing changes.

8. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will email you and Stripe will retry the charge over the following days. You keep your plan while retries are pending. If the payment cannot be collected, your subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan. You can update your payment method from Settings at any time.

9. Refunds

If you are not happy with our service email us at support@dittobase.com to request a refund. Please provide a reason and the email attached to your account. Remember, paid plans can be cancelled at any time and you keep access until the end of the paid period.

10. Price changes

We may change plan prices or features. If a price increase affects your current subscription, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then to avoid the new price.

11. Acceptable use

Please do not:

Use Dittobase in a way that breaks the law or these terms.
Scrape, copy, or redistribute our data or content at scale without permission.
Try to bypass plan limits, payment, or security measures.
Upload anything you do not have the right to share, or anything hateful, harassing, or illegal.
Interfere with the site or other trainers' use of it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

12. Your content

You keep ownership of anything you post or upload (for example profile details, collections, decks, teams, and screenshots). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and share that content as needed to run Dittobase, including showing public content to other trainers. You can delete your content or your account at any time.

13. Our content and third-party rights

The Dittobase name, design, code, and original text are ours. Pokémon game data, names, images, and related material belong to their respective owners and are used for informational and fan purposes. If you believe content on Dittobase infringes your rights, email support@dittobase.com.

14. Service changes and availability

Dittobase is built and run by a very small team. We do our best to keep the site available and accurate, but we may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time, and we cannot promise the site will always be error free or uninterrupted.

15. Disclaimers

Dittobase is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of game data. Game mechanics change, and our tools are estimates, not guarantees.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dittobase will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dittobase. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or a subscription is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

17. Termination

You can stop using Dittobase or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example licences, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue after termination.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will email account holders or post a notice on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Dittobase after the change means you accept the updated terms.
