Postcard Book
A book to collect Postcards and remember locations from yours and your friends' journeys.
Category
Gifts
The Postcard Book is an item in Pokémon GO that stores Postcards from your travels and your friends' travels. Every
Gift carries a Postcard of the PokéStop it came from, and you can save that Postcard to your book before the Gift is sent or opened.
Saved Postcards also count toward Vivillon. Pinning Postcards from friends' Gifts adds progress to the Vivillon Collector medal, and completing a region unlocks an encounter with a
Scatterbug that evolves into that region's Vivillon pattern.
How Many Postcards Can You Save
The Postcard Book holds 350 Postcards by default.
- Reaching trainer Levels 47, 57, 67, 74, and 77 each adds room for 50 more Postcards.
- Postcard Pages in the shop add 50 more each.
- The book can hold up to 3,000 Postcards in total.
When the book is full, delete Postcards you don't need or expand it. Deleting a Postcard can't be undone.
How to Save Postcards
From your own Gifts:
- Tap the Poké Ball menu, then "Items," and scroll to the Gifts section.
- Tap a Gift and tap the save button before you send it.
From a friend's Gift:
- Tap your Trainer profile, then the "Friends" tab, and tap a friend who sent you a Gift.
- Tap the pin button on the Postcard before you open the Gift.
Once a Gift is sent or opened, you can't save its Postcard.
How to Open the Postcard Book
Tap the Postcard Book in your Item Bag, or use the Postcard Book button on your Trainer profile.
