A 10 km Egg is an Egg in Pokémon GO that hatches after you walk 10 kilometers with it in an Incubator. It takes more walking than 2 km, 5 km, and 7 km Eggs, but it holds rarer Pokémon and bigger rewards. Only the 12 km Egg takes longer.

How to Get 10 km Eggs

10 km Eggs are the rarest Egg you can get from spinning PokéStops and Gyms. You need an open Egg slot to receive one.

  • Spinning PokéStops and Gyms
  • Adventure Sync weekly rewards, where walking 50 km in a week can reward a 10 km Egg with its own pool of Pokémon

Note: Adventure Sync reward Eggs can use one of 3 bonus Egg slots when your 9 regular slots are full.

How to Hatch 10 km Eggs

Open the "Eggs" tab on your Pokémon screen, tap the 10 km Egg, select "Start Incubation," and choose an Incubator.

10 km Eggs are the best place to use a Super Incubator, which hatches Eggs in two-thirds of the distance, so a 10 km Egg needs about 6.67 km. Events that cut hatch distance make premium Incubators go even further. The free Incubator and the 3-use Egg Incubator work too.

10 km Egg Hatch Rewards

Every hatch rewards the Pokémon plus Candy, Stardust, and XP. A 10 km Egg gives 1,600 to 3,200 Stardust and 16 to 32 Candy, depending on the Pokémon. Pokémon hatched from Eggs always have IVs of at least 10/10/10.

What Hatches From 10 km Eggs

The 10 km Egg pool changes with each season and during many events. It usually holds the rarest Egg Pokémon, often Dragon types and the first stage of pseudo-legendary lines, like Dratini. The Adventure Sync 10 km pool is separate from the PokéStop pool.

For the current 10 km Egg pool, see our Pokémon GO Eggs page.

The Pokémon an Egg can hatch is set when you pick it up, not when it hatches.
