Great Ball Catch Rate
Great Balls in Pokémon GO have a catch rate multiplier of 1.5x. This is higher than the 
Poké Ball catch rate multiplier of 1x but lower than the 
Ultra Ball catch multiplier of 2x.
How to Get Great Balls
Great Balls are readily obtained by spinning Poké Stops and opening Gifts, but there are many ways a player can obtain more Great Balls.

Gift - Completing particular Field Research or Special Research tasks
- Weekly Adventure Sync rewards
- The in-game shop
Note: Great Balls only drop from spinning Poké Stops, Gyms, or opening Gifts for trainers level 12 and up.
In the Shop
Great Balls are only sometimes available in the shop. Sometimes, they appear in limited-time boxes or even the Daily Free Box.

How to Use Great Balls
To use Great Balls in Pokémon GO, players must first encounter a Pokémon to catch by tapping on a Pokémon on the map, completing a raid or Max Battle, or as a reward from certain Research Tasks.
Tap the Poké Ball in the bottom right and select Great Balls.
Throws receive grades based on how small the circle is. The smaller the circle, the better the grade, and the higher the chance the Pokémon will be caught.
