Berries

Pinap Berries were added into Pokémon GO on February 16, 2017 alongside Nanab Berries, Johto Pokémon, and other new features (source).

Pinap Berries double the amount of Candy received for catching a Pokémon. Pinap Berries do not affect Candy XL. If a Pokémon breaks out of the Poké Ball, the Pinap Berry's effect will disappear and a new Pinap Berry must be applied.

How to Get Pinap Berries in Pokémon GO

  • Spinning Poké Stops or Gyms (level 18+)
  • Opening Gifts (level 18+)
  • Completing specific Research Tasks
