Crowned Sword Energy
A Pokémon GO item in the Energy category.
Crowned Sword Energy
Used to change Zacian into its Crowned Sword form. It can be found when defeating Crowned Sword Zacian in raids.
Category
Energy
Crowned Sword Energy is used to transform a
Zacian that knows the Charged move
Iron Head from its Hero of Many Battles form into
Crowned Sword Zacian. Its counterpart,
Crowned Shield Energy, does the same for Zamazenta.
The first transformation costs 1,000 Crowned Sword Energy and 30 Zacian Candy. After that, you can switch that Zacian between its Hero and Crowned Sword forms as often as you like without spending more Energy.
Crowned Sword Energy is a consumable item that does not occupy inventory space.
How to Get Crowned Sword Energy
Gain Crowned Sword Energy by defeating Crowned Sword Zacian in raids or by completing certain ticketed Special Research. Both forms debuted at Pokémon GO Fest 2025, where in-person attendees could earn the Energy early through branching Special Research.
- Winning a Crowned Sword Zacian raid
- Completing ticketed Special Research, starting with Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global
What Changes in the Crowned Sword Form
When Zacian transforms, Iron Head becomes its signature Steel-type Charged move, Behemoth Blade. Switching back to the Hero form turns Behemoth Blade back into Iron Head.
Crowned Sword Zacian can't Dynamax, but it can still join Max Battles. In Max Battles, Behemoth Blade can be leveled up for more damage, just like a Max Attack.
Note: While in its Crowned Sword form, Zacian can't be traded or transferred to Pokémon HOME.
