A Rocket Radar is used to battle the Team Go Rocket Leaders Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. To battle the Team GO Rocket Boss, Giovanni, trainers must use the 
Super Rocket Radar.
How to Get Rocket Radar
A Rocket Radar is assembled using six 
Mysterious Components. Trainers are given one Mysterious Component for defeating a Team GO Rocket Grunt, but only if you don't already have a Rocket Radar in your inventory. Mysterious Components are rewarded for certain Research Tasks, such as Fashion Week: Taken Over stage two Special Research, which rewards three Mysterious Components after defeating six Team GO Rocket Grunts.
Rocket Radars are also available in the in-game shop for 
200 Poké Coins, but this shop item is only unlocked after assembling your first Rocket Radar using Mysterious Components.
Occasionally, Rocket Radar is rewarded for completing Research Tasks.
How to Unequip Rocket Radar
If you don't want to battle a Rocket Leader, you can unequip the Rocket Radar and save it for a future time.
- Tap the Poké Ball menu in the bottom center of your screen.
- Select the Items button to open your inventory.
- Scroll down to the Other Items section and tap on Rocket Radar.
- Tap on the "Unequip" button.
