Eevee caught during Community Day already know 
Last Resort. Eevee hatched from Eggs collected during Community Day will also know Last Resort.
Evolve any Eevee during the event to get 
Vaporeon, 
Jolteon, 
Flareon, 
Espeon, 
Umbreon, 
Leafeon, or 
Glaceon that knows Last Resort. Eevee does not need to know Last Resort before it evolves.
Pikachu with 
Surf
Pikachu caught in the wild during Community Day know Surf. Evolving 
Pichu during Community Day also gives a Pikachu that knows Surf, including when evolving a 
Pichu wearing a hat.
Surf is limited to Pikachu. A Pikachu that knows Surf will lose it if evolved into 
Raichu.
Evolution Conditions
Fast TMs and 
Charged TMs cannot grant the exclusive attacks. Evolve well within the event window, as evolving very close to its start or end may result in a Pokémon not learning its exclusive attack.
Purified Pokémon can learn exclusive attacks through evolution. An exclusive Charged Attack replaces the first Charged Attack slot, including Return. A Purified 
Pupitar that knows Return evolves into a 
Tyranitar that learns 
Smack Down as its Fast Attack and keeps Return as its Charged Attack.
Shadow Pokémon must first be purified to learn exclusive attacks through evolution. Shadow Tyranitar is the exception because Smack Down is a Fast Attack: evolving Shadow Pupitar into Shadow Tyranitar gives it Smack Down while it retains Frustration.
Community Day Special Research
Open Pokémon GO during the December 14–15 Community Day weekend to receive limited Special Research celebrating the year. This research can only be received by playing during the event.
