Event Bonuses
The following bonuses apply from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
1/4 Egg Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in an Incubator during the event.
2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
Lure Modules activated during the event last three hours.
Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, activated during the event lasts three hours.
Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
Extended Trade Bonuses
These trade bonuses run from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.
One additional Special Trade, for a maximum of three for the day.
Trades require 50% less Stardust.
Ticket Gifting
You can purchase and gift tickets to friends with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Select the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap Gift instead of Buy.
Gifting is unavailable if the recipient has already purchased the ticket or has already been gifted one.
Tickets are nonrefundable, subject to applicable law and the exceptions in the Terms of Service. This Special Research does not include an in-game medal.
Bonus Raid Battles After Community Day
Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.
Poliwhirl appears in special four-star raids. Join using 
Raid Passes or 
Premium Battle Passes; 
Remote Raid Passes cannot be used.
Featured Pokémon
Poliwag will appear more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!
Featured Attacks
Evolve Poliwhirl (Poliwag’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward, until 10:00 p.m. local time, to get 
Poliwrath that knows the Fast Attack 
Counter.
The original announcement lists Counter at 8 power in Trainer Battles and 12 power in Gyms and raids.
Evolve Poliwhirl with a King’s Rock during the event or up to five hours afterward, until 10:00 p.m. local time, to get 
Politoed that knows the Charged Attack 
Ice Beam.
The original announcement lists Ice Beam at 90 power in Trainer Battles and 90 power in Gyms and raids.
Stickers
Get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening 
Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
Encounters After a Raid
Successfully complete one of these four-star raids against Poliwhirl to make Poliwag appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. These Poliwag have the same Shiny chance as those during the three-hour Community Day event.
The other Community Day bonuses apply only during the initial three-hour event period; the extended trade bonuses keep their separately stated hours.
Field Research
July Community Day–themed Field Research will be available. Catch Poliwag to earn rewards such as additional Poliwag encounters, King’s Rocks, 
Ultra Balls, and more!
Timed Research
Timed Research awarding King’s Rocks is available from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.
Community Day Special Research

Tickets for the Special Research will be available in the in-game shop.
