Sewaddle Community Day
Trainers, October Community Day has been announced! Get ready for the Sewing Pokémon, Sewaddle!
Date and Time
Community Day will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, and will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Featured Pokémon
The Bug and Grass type Sewaddle will spawn much more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you can even catch the shiny variant! Shiny odds for Community Day events are 1 in 25.
Sewaddle evolves into Swadloon with 25 Candy and again into Leavanny for 100 more Candy.
Featured Attack
If you evolve Swadloon during the event hours, or up to five hours afterwards, you’ll be rewarded with a Leavanny that knows the Fast Attack Shadow Claw. Shadow Claw is a Dark Type attack with 9 power for Trainer Battles and 6 power for Gyms and Raids.
Event Bonuses
- 2x Candy for catching Pokémon.
- ¼ Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event.
- 2x chance to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon (must be level 31 and up to receive Candy XL).
- Lure Modules Activated during the event will last for 3 hours.
- Take a few snapshots during the event for a surprise encounter.
- One additional Special Trade can be made (for a total of two on the day).
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust (from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time).

Complete October Community Day-themed Field Research to earn rewards such as -
- Stardust
- Great Balls
- Additional Sewaddle encounters
Community Day Special Research
For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Community Day-exclusive Special Research ticket.
You can also opt to purchase the Ultra Community Day Box containing the Special Research Ticket, as well as 10 Ultra Balls and one Elite Charged TM. This box will be available on the Pokémon GO Web Store starting three days prior to the event on September 30th and running until the end of the event. The cost will be US$4.99.

Sewaddle is an adorable little bug that kind of fits the spooky theme with its vampire-like cowl made of leaves and little fangs. Lucky for us it's much more likely to eat our house plants than drink our blood!
