Raised stats get a 1.1× multiplier; lowered stats get 0.9×. Dashes mark the five neutral natures, which leave every stat unchanged.

Rows show the stat a nature raises; columns show the stat it lowers. The five neutral natures sit on the diagonal.

Every Pokémon has one of 25 natures. A nature raises one stat by 10% and lowers another by 10%. Five neutral natures (Hardy, Docile, Serious, Bashful, and Quirky) raise and lower the same stat, so their effects cancel out and every stat grows normally. HP is never affected by natures.

Natures also decide which Berry flavors a Pokémon likes and dislikes. Each stat pairs with a flavor: Spicy for Attack, Sour for Defense, Sweet for Speed, Dry for Special Attack, and Bitter for Special Defense. Flavor preferences matter for HP-restoring Berries like the Figy Berry: a Pokémon that dislikes the Berry's flavor still heals, but becomes confused.

Starting in Pokémon Sword and Shield, mints change a Pokémon's stat growth without changing its listed nature. Feeding a Pokémon an Adamant Mint, for example, makes its stats grow as if it were Adamant.
