Pressure
Ability used by 23 Diamond and Pearl Pokémon.
Flavor text
The Pokémon raises the foe’s PP usage.
Short effect
Increases the PP cost of moves targeting the Pokémon by one.
Effect
Moves targeting this Pokémon use one extra PP. Moves that hit every other Pokémon, such as Earthquake, or the whole field, such as Haze, Perish Song or Rain Dance, use one extra PP for each other Pokémon in battle with this ability, the user's ally included. Moves that hit both opponents or the opposing side, such as Spikes, and Imprison use one extra PP for each opposing Pokémon with this ability. Moves that target the user, its ally or its own side are unaffected. This ability still affects moves that fail or miss. If this ability raises a move's PP cost above its remaining PP, it will use all remaining PP. When this Pokémon enters battle, all participating trainers are notified that it has this ability. Overworld: If the lead Pokémon has this ability, there is a 50% chance that a wild Pokémon is at the highest level it can be: in grass, the highest level its species has in that area's encounter table; when surfing, fishing, or at a Honey tree, the top of its level range.
