Mega Gyarados
All Rounder · Melee
Magikarp may evolve earlier than level 7 if their effort gauge is filled. Both Moves may be learned upon evolution. Only auto attacks can critically strike. Mega Gyarados' Critical-Hit rate increases at levels 5 and 9. Magikarp has a locked attack speed that cannot be changed by held items, battle items or moves. Mega Gyarados' attack speed is affected by held items, battle items and moves.

Dragon Current
Becomes untargetable and dives underwater for up to 4s while this Unite Move is held, increasing movement speed by 45%. When the button is released, the user leaps up forcefully and attacks. If the user stays underwater for 1s, Gyarados strengthens the movement speed increase to 55% and creates a whirlpool when surfacing, applying a continuous slow to opposing Pokémon hit. If the user stays underwater for 2s, Gyarados strengthens the movement speed increase to 65% and creates a waterspout when surfacing, throwing opposing Pokémon hit for 1s. The longer the move is held, the larger the area of effect becomes.
