Slow Start

For five turns, the Pokémon’s Attack and Speed stats are halved.

Halves Attack and Speed for five turns upon entering battle.

Halves effective Attack and Speed for the first five turns after entering battle. Switching out resets the counter, and replacing or suppressing the Ability removes the modifiers. In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, special damaging Z-Moves also receive the Slow Start penalty.
