Anticipation
Ability used by 9 Scarlet and Violet Pokémon.
Flavor text
The Pokémon can sense an opposing Pokémon's dangerous moves.
Short effect
Warns of an opposing super-effective damaging move or one-hit KO move.
Effect
On entry, this Pokémon shudders if an opponent has a damaging move treated as super effective against it, or an eligible one-hit knockout move. The move is not named. Self-Destruct and Explosion are treated as ordinary Normal-type moves; Counter, Mirror Coat and Metal Burst can trigger the warning. This warning is not a complete preview of variable-type or Terastallization interactions.
