Flavor Text
POKéBLOCK ingredient. Plant in loamy soil to grow a mystery.
Short Effect
A placeholder for custom e-Reader Berry data in Generation III.
Effect
In Ruby and Sapphire, Enigma Berry supplies custom Berry data received through compatible e-Reader functionality. Its effect depends on that custom data; it does not have the later-generation fixed healing effect after a super-effective hit.
Where to Find
Event item
Event-only. After an Enigma Berry e-Reader card is scanned (Japan only), Norman gives you the Enigma Berry at the Petalburg City Gym. A held e-Reader Berry can also be moved over from another game through Pokémon Box Ruby & Sapphire.
