Brace yourselves, trainers: the Ultra Beasts have landed! While this week leading up to Pokémon GO Fest: Global will feature new raids each day for all of the different Ultra Beasts, many of these Ultra Beasts are regional and which one you get will vary based on your location. Thankfully, Niantic is making it easy to add each Ultra Beast to your Pokédex, thanks to free timed research that rewards you with an encounter with each Ultra Beast — even those outside your home region. Here’s how to get started.
Inbound from Ultra Space Free Timed Research
Head over to the Events tab to view your current Timed Research and you should see the Ultra Space Free Timed Research displayed. This research is pretty simple — all you have to do is complete ten raids, with almost every raid completed rewarding you with an encounter with each Ultra Beast, even those normally outside your home region. Note that the raids you complete do not need to be Ultra Beast raids — you can complete any type of raid and it will count towards this research.
- Win 2 raids: Blacephalon encounter
- Win 3 raids: Stakataka encounter
- Win 4 raids: Guzzlord encounter
- Win 5 raids: Nihilego encounter
- Win 6 raids: Kartana encounter
- Win 7 raids: Celesteela encounter
- Win 8 raids: Xurkitree encounter
- Win 9 raids: Buzzwole encounter
- Win 10 raids: Pheromosa encounter
Completing this free timed research will reward you with 5 Buzzwole Candy XL, 5 Pheromosa Candy XL and 5 Xurkitree Candy XL.
Inbound from Ultra Space Premium Timed Research
Want to power up your new interdimensional Pokémon even more? Head over to the Pokémon GO Shop and pick up the Inbound from Ultra Space Premium Timed Research Ticket. This timed research will prompt you with the same raid tasks as the previously mentioned research, but will instead reward you with 5 Candy XL for each Ultra Beast.
