                Introduction

Grimer is a Poison-type Pokémon first introduced in Pokémon Red & Blue. Grimer's design is based on toxic waste and pollution. Its normal color scheme presents a purple pile of sludge with white eyes and black pupils. Grimer opens its mouth to reveal a gray tongue. Shiny Grimer turns a basil-green color with no change to the eyes and a pale red tongue.

                Evolution

Grimer evolves once into Muk at Level 38. Muk is the final stage of this evolutionary line.

                Preferred Location

The best location to hunt shiny Grimer is the beach and grassy area west of Levincia City on the eastern coast of Paldea.

                Best Method to Hunt

The best shiny hunting method for Grimer is to make a Sparkling and Encounter Power: Poison Lv.3 Sandwich. Since Grimer is the only Poison-type Pokémon that spawns in that area, it can be easily isolated.

                Sandwich Recipe

The easiest way to make a Sparkling and Encounter Power: Poison Lv.3 Sandwich is by using:

                • 1 serving of Noodles
                • A combination of 1 Salty Herba Mystica + 1 Sweet/Spicy/Sour Herba Mystica

If you don't have Salty Herba Mystica, then use this recipe:

                • 1 Cucumber + 1 Pickle
                • 3 Green Peppers
                • Any 2 Herba Mystica combination besides: 1 Sweet + 1 Sour

                Hunting

The best way to hunt shiny Grimeris to travel between the beach and grassy area, ensuring Grimer leaves the screen to reset the spawns. Another way to reset the spawns is to open and close a picnic to reset all the spawns.

                Tips

                • Grimertends to blend in with the grass making it difficult to spot. Pay close attention when hunting the grassy area so you don't miss the shiny.
